HELP ME, I’M LOOKING FOR A HOUSE WITH DESPERATE SPEED!

Too small, too far, too expensive…looking for a house in Milan may be a titanic undertaking if you don’t know well the town.

We have experienced this: whole evenings spent in checking websites with completely different advice and offers and whole days in submitting documents sets unfailingly incomplete.
Ah..I wish we had had somebody’s help!

Chiara: born in Rome, a couple of years after the graduation in Economics, she moved to Turin to follow the Olympic dream and her passion for sport. She worked for the Torino 2006 Olympic Committee and during her time in Turin she also met her future husband. Three lovely kids who, following Mum and Dad first in Milan, then in Rome, London and finally back to Milan again, learned how beautiful the challenge of moving is, no matter how faraway you are because true friendships doesn’t know any distance. Passionate about travel, especially those with her family, she loves to welcome families who move to Milan trying to let them feel at home.

Historic building (Palazzo Storico) : Historic buildings in Milan have often elegant entrances and beautiful internal courtyard, impossible to resist their charme! But remember that   are often quite high.

Stately building (Stabile Signorile): building around the 1950s, less charming than the historic ones, but the interior spaces of the apartments are often more functional for families

Stabile semi signorile o civile : simple but prices are more fair

Seminterrato (Basement): apartment below the level of the ground. Not very bright but you can find some good occasions!

Piano rialzato (Raised ground floor) : ground floor but it is not on street level but nearly a meter above the street.

Loft: cool but interior spaces are often not too functional for families.

Mansarda (Attic): apartment inside the roof of a building. It’s  usually very cosy but it might be really hot during the summer! Air conditioning is a must !

Box: garage, very rare in Milan!

WHICH DIFFICULTIES MAY YOU FACE IN RENTING A HOUSE IN MILAN?

The choice of the quarter

It must be easy for the school, well served by the means of transport, near but not too much to shops and restaurants, next to a park but not out of way, residential….Milan offers a wide choice, the important thing is to be able to choose well.

The type of flat

Be careful, you must be able to understand the advertisements! Maybe you are ravished by the photos of beautiful façades of buildings but really you will find flats in bad conditions if they have not been recently renewed. Milan is an international city but the rules of rents are local and you need to know them.

WHAT CAN WE DO FOR YOU?

STEP 1

We can do all these steps together or you can choose just one or two…in a word we are at your disposal… The only thing we cannot do is to pay the rent for you!
